How it all got started...
In 2020, during the pandemic, Will and Amanda Crossland encountered challenges similar to many others. Faced with mass layoffs and reduced hours, they decided to start CrossTech Automotive, initially offering small engine repairs from their home garage. The devastating freeze of 2021 hit Texas hard, leaving many, including their family of five children and an expected newborn, without power or water. Will was let go from his job after being asked to work in severe weather, which led them to fully commit to their automotive shop. By March 2021, they found a one-bay shop, marking the beginning of their journey. CrossTech Automotive rapidly expanded to four bays by May, creating new technician positions. In June, Amanda gave birth to their son, Reed, who spent 14 days in the NICU, challenging the couple to balance their growing business and family needs. With support from their Liberty Hill community, they persevered, and Will was elected as a city councilman, deepening their community ties. Tragically, on October 10, 2022, they lost their son, Jaycee. During this difficult time, they faced challenges with their land owners but were blessed with a new four-bay, 7,500 square foot shop, thanks to community support. Today, the Crosslands and CrossTech Automotive continue to give back by donating services and volunteering, eager to serve their community. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us.
